volunteer

Last night's visit with a friend was great fun.  We drew pictures after dinner.  I forgot the chocolate covered walnuts.

This morning we walked at McKinley Park, and afterward I enjoyed sitting by the duck pond for a while while light shimmered on me.

Then we bought avocados and bananas at Safeway.

Then I cooked up one of the volunteer butternut squash from the backyard.  It's small.  I ate half of it for breakfast.
