dried great northern beans
      Today we made beans that we got this morning free from a church.  They've got onion, garlic, salt, and a little kombu.  Oh, they turned out delicious.  We didn't let them cook down to mush.  They're still whole.  And I like mine with some earth balance.  Ming likes his plain.  This is a triumphant victory after the crushing millet pudding defeat.

I have been trying to enjoy beans more. Trish and I had some tasty garbanzos earlier this week.
