I don't like games either

Games are kind of like movies, for me.  You can get sucked in.  You can go into another world where different things matter than in real life.  That's one reason I don't like them.  But I have other reasons too.

    Hi Laura-Marie,

I used to not really like games because I felt like it was kind of a fake way of interacting with people - I wanted to sit and talk and get to know them more than I wanted to set up a whole structure that determined how we would interact. I've grown to like them more with age. Sometimes that structure can be helpful to facilitate positive communication between people that are difficult to interact with. Sometimes they are actually fun! My boyfriend is really into strategy board games, so I've had to be a little more open-minded about them in recently years.

Just stopping by to say hello. Love your blog as always -
    Katie

Hi, Katie! Right--because it's not society's normal rules it can be a way to have interaction between people who might not otherwise interact well. I like your thoughts--thanks for stopping by! hugs, LM
