I don't understand the grand hype about this book. I read it last fall and maybe I can't really relate to folks who've had such a religiously indoctrinated upbringing since my parents were at best lapse Catholics and I'm now agnostic, wishing I were athiest just to quell all doubts.
Then again, maybe I hate stories about how futile young love usually is, since it probably fucks us up, more than teaches us, when it comes to future relationships. Not that I've experienced that or anything.
Well, I felt like I could relate to the religious angst and still didn't love it. A couple scenes from it have stuck with me. Anyway, I briefly review it in the new ELM.

I look forward to reading it. I think I dreamed that issue 48 arrived in the mail.

Wow--I think that's the first I've heard of one of my zines appearing in someone's dream. Love it!
