Umbrian Cicerchia

These are definitely not fava beans but not chickpeas either--they're evidently their own thing. I cooked them up this afternoon, and the recipe on the back of the bag says garlic and salt pork, so I just did garlic with olive oil and a lot of salt. They're pretty good.

I also baked some Mexican wedding cakes from my writers group friends. They're great!
