breadcrumb pasta
I made some pasta with "buttered" breadcrumbs (it was vegan, of course) and it wasn't very good. I didn't follow the recipe, though. I used fresh basil instead of fresh parsley because that's what I had. I know that changes everything. And I left out the toasted pine nuts. And I used angel hair instead of fettuccine. So I was making my own thing, basically, and it wasn't so good. The texture bothered me. Oh well. "It's good to try new things," someone used to tell me.
