vegan banana bread
Today we baked some vegan banana bread. I didn't have my usual recipe, so I used a new one. I followed it well except for I used all brown sugar--I couldn't find any white. And it sort of burned. It was sort of burning and I took it out and it was still raw inside! So I turned the heat down to 250 and let it sit in the oven for a while like that. And I checked it again and it was cooked. So I guess the moral of the story is that molasses burns. But it's got a good flavor otherwise.
