brads
Brads can be used for binding a zine. All the brads I've seen in my life were golden in color and a certain size, but in researching for this blog post, I've learned that they don't have to be golden but can be any color and can have decorative thinkiedookies on top. It's like a post but the post splits into two halves that can be pushed apart and bent to keep the paper in place. Well, it's really hard to explain, but it's a simple concept once you actually see a brad in use.

I remember brads from elementary school. We'd use them to put together pieces of paper that had hinges - like if we made an animal that had a hinged jaw. I have always had a liking for office supplies. :)

Oh, I think around Easter we made an egg that would hatch, too.
