Last night after the sit and talk, at the very end, Ed Brown had us chant "ho" which means "dharma" in Japanese, he said. We chanted for about a minute, everyone taking a breath and restarting when we needed to. Beforehand he said we could dedicate the merit to whoever we wanted, including people who are no longer living.
