buckwheat pancakes

I made buckwheat pancakes for lunch yesterday, and they were okay. They wanted to burn, though. (I actually burned one of them and ate it anyway.) I don't know if it's because of the buckwheat flour, because the recipe I used had no oil in it, or if I was just being a dunce about the heat.
