Here is a postcard I bought for 25 cents today at the Friends of the Library bookstore. It gave us a lot to puzzle over. Why is the handwritten name misspelled? What's the meaning of the blue question mark and number sign? Why was the postcard never sent? (Maybe because the handwritten name was misspelled?) And who decided to donate this postcard to the library?
